This booklet contains a selection of works produced by architecture students as part of the Urban Analysis Workshop organised during the third year of their Bachelor’s degree from the ENSA Marseille. During this workshop, the students explored the commune of Gardanne, a small town of around 21,500 inhabitants located in the heart of the Provençal mining basin. By exploring, surveying and redeveloping the area, the teams were able to appreciate the complexity of the spatial stratifications and social dynamics in place. The result is a toolbox and a field notebook that can serve as a basis for pedagogical and territorial reflection.

Ce carnet recueille une sélection de travaux d’étudiant.es en architecture de l’ENSA Marseille., élaborés dans le cadre de l’atelier d’analyse urbaine de la troisième année de licence. Durant cet atelier, les étudiant.es ont exploré la commune de Gardanne, une petite ville d’environ 21 500 habitants située au cœur du bassin minier de Provence. En parcourant, arpentant et redessinant ce territoire, les équipes se sont mesurées à la complexité des stratifications spatiales et des dynamiques sociales en place. Il en ressort une boîte à outils et un carnet de terrain, permettant de nourrir conjointement des réflexions sur la pédagogie et sur les territoires.
